Semester 2 just started and I’m busy as hell!

4 projects -  trailer, animation, “essay” and Augmented Reality.

A lot happened since the last time I posted. My birthday was last Wednesday, I finally hit 20. Now I’m no longer a teenager. I have grown quite a bit in the past 2 years, can’t say I’m real mature for my age though but I’ve definitely grown. Every time on birthdays I become nostalgic, I still remember things from when I was 8. It didn’t seem that long ago. Time sure flies fast!

Just thinking back to the last 2 years… So much had happen, that changed me and made me see what the real world is like. One more year and I will be graduating from Uni, I hope it’s going to be ok out there…

As for uni, semester one is over! And I am enjoying my 3 weeks holiday. I wish it was a bit longer though. I don’t even have enough time to watch all the videos I have borrowed from friends AND do some of my own projects.
I had so much planned to do, I wanted to redo my website, do some new artwork for practice, learn some maya for a head start (for semester 2 course) and also enjoy movies/tv series that I have collected from friends. But looks like I can only do a few of these things as time always run out.

Currently I am trying to do a piece of artwork for a magazine in hk, but I’ve been stuck on that for a while. I’m getting rusty at doing graphics :(
*must stop playing games!

These few days have been pretty miserable for me. I woke up on Monday and felt that my life sucked. I think it’s to do with what I’m studying.

I guess I’m more interested in communication design and not interactive. But so far the core paper that we are doing is mostly interactive. I keep telling myself to just deal with it. But at the same I feel like it’s a waste of time because my attitude changes to ..’I don’t really care, I just want to get this over and done with’. Whereas if it was something I was so passionate about, I will keep doing better and push the limit and do something above expectation.

If I was doing Graphic Design I will definitely work hard to achieve that.
I have been thinking about that again. It seems like it’s because I want to study something that I know I already can do and I will do well in.

At that point I realized what the real problem was. I have never won anything. I have never been first, always second. I just wanted to do well and be acknowledged. Even so, I’m not that into technology and I hate to see my grades suffer when I know it can be better in a different subject.

But I will keep trying to do better. I will deal with it, until I find a solution. T-T

I am so happy! the retarded Uni Zeitgeist assignment is over. I am so so so glad it’s over, I feel like I can fly somehow… The past 4 to 5 weeks was so painful, so much work to do. I could hardly sleep. I remember I was dreaming every night. So bad! Dreaming means you are not getting good sleep. I remember some of the dreams I had, they were quite freaky. I dream of a T-Rex in my house…Snoop Dog stabbed me…flying car…and some more..but these were most memorable lol. They were just crazy.

Got new assignment today, I am more excited about this because we have to create a pdf journal. Not exactly sure of the ‘topics’ but I finally have the chance to play with InDesign and work with layouts! I have been waiting for this for so long!

If you remember my post from last year about the Hola Monster WIP then I want to let you know that its 99 % finished! It’s been untouched since Dec lol I’m so lazy…I just need to fix the fishscales and some lines then it’s done but it’s such a hassle!

…Now starring at this photo I think the composition is quite unbalanced …argh!…

Woot! I went to the One Republic concert tonight @ the Powerstation. It was such a small venue …which….was good I guess because I can actually SEE! I forgot to take my ID so we had to stand upstairs…but we still managed to find a good spot! Good Night Nurse opened for them and I just thought they were terrible lol.

But Ryan from One Republic was so good, his vocals and everything. He was just very entertaining and just goofy lol They had better stage presence too. Love them! Apologize is just such a good song…they played Umbrella as well, which I thought was awesome. That song rocks… and hearing it live is even better.
A 9/10 for this concert!

My first time at the Lantern Festival! The mood reminds me of Japan for some reason! Must be the lanterns lol so pretty…

Yes! Finally received my copy of the FutureSex/LoveShow DVD :D Such a good show! Now, it’s time to watch the rest. Gotta keep practising my guitar too, so I can play like them..hehe!
